ROPEX has made a generous donation to support the important work of the Bietigheim-Bissingen food bank. Oliver Korn, Commercial Director of the company, personally handed over the donation check to Ingrid Brandl, store manager of the food bank in Bietigheim-Bissingen and to the 1st Chairman Johannes Schockenhoff.
The Bietigheim-Bissingen food bank has been committed to supporting people in need in the region with food for many years. This is only possible thanks to the commitment of numerous volunteers and the continuous support of local companies and private individuals. Supermarkets, bakeries and garden centers regularly donate goods that would otherwise go to waste, while many private individuals and companies such as ROPEX help with donations of money or goods.
Oliver Korn was impressed by the work of the food bank and emphasized how important such organizations are for society: “The food bank makes a valuable contribution to supporting people in our region who are facing difficult life situations. With our donation, we want to help make this important work possible in the future.”
In addition to the volunteers, the food bank also currently employs four federal volunteers. Two of them have already extended their service by six months – a sign of the positive and meaningful work at the Tafel. Ingrid Brandl praised the commitment of all the helpers: “Without the dedication of our volunteers and the willingness of the public to donate, our service would not be possible. The donation from ROPEX is a valuable support for which we are grateful.”
The 1.000 € donation will help to further improve the infrastructure of the food bank and continue to offer reliable support to the people who depend on the help of the organization.
There are many ways for people to get involved or support the food bank – whether through volunteer work, food donations or financial contributions. “We welcome all forms of support,” says Johannes Schockenhoff.
