Error messages
Validity
The following three tables show all of the error codes, assigned by ROPEX, that can occur with the following temperature controllers.
- Series RES-5xxx
- Series UPT-6xxx
The error messages are encoded and saved in the log.
The error diagnosis can also be accessed as follows:
- RES-5010: PROFINET® diagnosis (extended fault diagnosis)
The error codes appear as plain text in the project design tool, as they are stored in the GSDML file. - RES-5012: "Diagnosis history" object
The error codes appear in a list as plain text and with a time stamp.
Tip
The temperature controller emits 13 voltage levels via the analog output to facilitate error diagnosis. In the temperature controller, the error messages are precisely differentiated and encoded as error codes.
The three-digit error codes can be displayed as follows:
- Webserver
- Ethernet interface
- For information on the visualization software, refer to the manual for the visualization software ROPEXvisual®.
Notes
In order to avoid incorrect evaluations, evaluation of the analog output for the detection of an error message – e. g. in the higher-level control unit – must be carried out with an adapted tolerance window.
Comply with the analog output tolerances. For further information, refer to the instructions for the temperature controller, section Technical data.
The following tables show the assignment of the three-digit error codes to the voltage level at the analog output. They also contain the causes and the measures required to remedy the error.
